FEEDING SYSTEMS

FEEDING SYSTEMS
THE RIGHT SYSTEM FOR EVERY NEED
Our machines use two basic principles to transfer mix from temperature-controlled stainless-steel hoppers to the freezing cylinders.
1 — Gravity system: Mix held in the upper hoppers at 2–4°C flows by gravity into the freezing cylinders. Simple and practical, it provides up to 35% overrun and volume increase.
2 — Pump systems (gear pumps):
The mix in the upper hoppers at 2–4°C is drawn by high-pressure gear pumps and pumped into the freezing cylinder, providing up to 80–90% overrun and volume increase. The ice cream gains excellent form, taste and quality while using less mix than gravity machines. Our Gelmatic range includes both gear-pump and gravity machines. A portion dispensed from a gear-pump machine weighs 70 g, while the same volume from a gravity machine may reach 100 g. Depending on the product and customer requirements, steel or Teflon beaters can be used inside the cylinders.
3 — Bag-in-Box technology:
The bag-in-box system completely prevents contact between mix and air for maximum hygiene.
Gelmatic ice cream machines use heat-treatment technology that allows mix temperature adjustment through a special cooling system, operated and monitored by an interactive control and diagnostic system.
